Next to the beach.

You can't complain about being right next to a beach. Especially when you have a 5 month wait for school to start. I hope all is well.

I leave March 4th for boot camp.

I am going to stay at a hotel tomorrow night and then I leave for boot camp the following day. I am very excited and can't wait to embark on this adventure. I'm a little nervous but I think that is just a normal emotion with changing your life. So I won't be able to write anything or have any contact with anyone for two months. I can't wait until I find out where I am going to A school and where I will be stationed. I have been trying to hang out with as many people as I could before I leave but haven't been able to see everyone. I will miss everyone and can't wait to come back and visit and be apart of the Navy.

I'm signed up with the Navy.

So I went to MEPS and have officially signed up with the Navy. My ship date as of right now is September 15, 2009. That is longer than I thought it was going to be. I guess that gives me more time to get all my stuff done and get in better shape. The job I chose is aviation computer and technologies technician. So after two months of boot camp I will go to A school for about 1 to 2 years. I also received a sign on bonus for this job. Once I am finished with A school I will be assigned to a squadron of planes and will go where they go. I will be on base 50% of the time and on sea 50% of the time. It looks as though I will be able to see a lot. I am excited and can't wait to leave. I am also going to try to see if a sooner date to leave might pop up so I might end up changing jobs and leave sooner. Well that is all for now.

I am joining the Navy.

This is the first blog of many to come. I have started a blog so that family and friends can keep up with where I am and what I am doing. Also, I enjoy writing and I hope to start making this a regular thing for me to work on my writing and possibly get some of my stuff noticed.

As of right now I am enlisting in the Navy. I have been running and doing lots of sit ups. So far I have dropped 20 pounds and 2.5% body fat percent. In three days I will be going down to MEPS to take my ASVAB test and have my physical. I really can not wait and am very excited. I really want to find out what job I am going to be doing, where I'm going to be stationed, and when I leave. When I find all this out I will then need to get all my stuff into storage.
